How do hardcore gang-bangers who believe in God justify their actions?
I’ve seen P-13 members with tattoos of the Virgin Mary and Jesus on their bodies.
I’ve also met gang-bangers who say that they believe in God and have read the Bible.
Yet EVERY SINGLE non-gang affiliated religious person (Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, etc.) I’ve ever known looks down upon the gang-banger lifestyle (as they SHOULD).
What’s up with that?
it is a way of life,survival skill and a very sore eye upon our society.however,it is not without some form of merit.this modern gang bang thing started off something that was meant to be positive.california or compton revolution in progress or what we know today as crips,started of 60’s radicals influenced by the black panthers. technically they are on stand by waiting for the big one(war) to jump off.over time their idea’s have become skewed because of lack of leadership and other things.in retrospect,it is what it is.i learned lot about the gang banger life style from the one who is considered the greatest gang banger who ever lived” monster” cody scott,which also happens to be the tittle of his book(a must read).gang bangers are taught a young age on how to do it,you know bang.but religion is also taught at a young age too.if you don’t know any better when your 8 years old or so you are taught to kill. no big deal in their culture,however there is remorse.i believe a lot of them when they grow up kind of figure out that this game they have been playing is for real and they seek guidance and change.its only natural that they revert to form,i praying to god for forgiveness because he is the only one who can save me now.
